Cupcake Themed 1st Birthday Cake / Cupcakes

The was for a first birthday celebration for a client’s daughter. She wanted to incorporate her favorite colors: pink, lavender, green, and yellow and make the party a cupcake themed party.
I love the look of this cake because it looks somewhat whimsical due to the colors, but not involving a topsy turvy design. I wanted the main point of the cake to stand out (colored in pink) which were the giant cupcake as well as the number 1 and the name Gianna.
Giant cupcake – chocolate cake with raspberry chambord buttercream
Yellow tier – 10 in round chocolate cake with Baileys Irish Creme buttercream
Green tier – 12 in sq chocolate cake with cookies n cream buttercream.
I had the toughest time with the giant cupcake since I had to create it without a pan
I wanted to match the cupcakes with the cake. Therefore, I created another giant cupcake just for the top of the cupcake display. The cupcakes were vanilla with dark chocolate buttercream and chocolate with white chocolate cream cheese buttercream.
